Amy Davis, M.Ed.

I am so excited to get to work with students in the OKC Metro area by starting EmpowerED Solutions. You have read what the company is about, now let me share a little about myself!

My Story

Hello, my name is Amy Davis, and I have dedicated the last 20 years of my life to education, embracing roles from elementary educator to high school principal, with my journey weaving through the vibrant landscapes of California and Oklahoma. Each step, from my initial venture in public schools to the dynamic world of charter schooling, has enriched my toolkit, allowing me to connect, inspire, and elevate students across various backgrounds and needs.

My path took an intriguing turn when I embraced the challenge of teaching at a charter school, where I spent a decade nurturing young minds from 6th to 12th grade in subjects as diverse as science and leadership. This experience honed my belief in the power of adaptability and personalized education—principles that guide me to this day. Coaching high school soccer teams for both boys and girls was a journey in itself, where the values of perseverance, teamwork, and personal growth were daily lessons, not just for my students but for me as well.

Furthering my commitment to educational excellence, I pursued a Master's in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. This endeavor was not just about academic growth but about deepening my understanding of how to create environments where students thrive.

The allure of Oklahoma's warmth and community led my family and me to make it our home. Here, my role in a private school deepened my insights into the unique educational landscape of this state, insights that I'm now channeling into more personalized educational experiences.

The decision to shift towards private teaching and eventually the foundation of a microschool stems from a deep-seated belief in education that transcends traditional boundaries. It's about creating a nurturing, engaging, and flexible learning environment that acknowledges and respects each child's unique learning journey, especially those who have been let down by conventional systems.

I understand the frustration and desperation that parents feel when their children, particularly those with ADHD and dyslexia, face barriers in traditional educational settings. The sense of being overlooked, or worse, excluded, is not something any parent should endure. My mission is to offer an alternative—a space where your child is not just another student, but a unique individual with endless potential.

At our microschool, we're not just making promises; we're committing to a partnership with you and your child. We're dedicated to providing consistent, progress-focused education tailored to the needs of our students. Here, every child's educational journey is valued, and their success, our priority. Together, let's create a future where your child's educational challenges are met with understanding, expertise, and unwavering support.

My journey has taught me that education is not just about imparting knowledge; it's about igniting a passion for learning, fostering resilience, and building a community of support around our children. This is the ethos of our microschool, and I invite you to join us on this transformative journey.
